Several Trafford athletes travelled to Merseyside last weekend to take part in the Northern Road Relays in the picturesque Birkenhead Park. 

In the U17 Womens race, our A team of Elizabeth Sinclair, Martha McCormack and Isobel Thomas finished in an excellent 7^th place, supported by the B team of Sophie Bowman, Fay Lewis and Diana Talib coming home in 12^th place. 

The U15 Girls team of Rachel Bowden, Semrawit Tekle and Anna Thomas all ran well to finish in 24^th place in their event.

A clash of fixtures with the English Schools Fell Championships meant that we were missing several athletes in the boys events. We only contested the U15 race where our team of Tim Ye, Pio Aron and Finlay Dobson Emmas were easy winners of the title with some outstanding runs. Backing them up were the B team of Archie Greenwood, Jake Royle and Tom Harris who finished in 8^th place and won the 1^st B team medals. Having won both North West and Northern titles, the U15 team will now go on to challenge for National honours in 2 weeks time in Birmingham.
