Joe Daly is the latest Trafford athlete to be selected to compete for England.

Joe, who has been a member since he was 9 years old was selected to compete for England in the Snowdon International Fell Race.

This was a great achievement for Joe who competed in track, x-country and road races as a youngster without much success. In his late teens he tried fell races again without success, but over the last few years his enjoyment of running in the Mountains and training in the hills has paid off.

The Snowdon International sees both Home Nation teams as well as European teams compete. With Joe being the youngest member of the 5 man England team, little was expected but he paced the race well and was always in contention at the top of Snowdon. On the decent Joe moved through to finish 6th overall, 2nd England runner and 1st U23 runner. An amazing start to an international career that will continue to rise to new heights.
