It was a Super Sunday all round at the England Senior & Under 20 Championships in Bedford last weekend for Trafford athletes.

In the space of just thirty minutes, five Trafford athletes won medals and it seemed as if the presentation area was a Trafford takeover.

Pride of place went to Neve Davenport who, at just 21, won her first Senior England title in the Heptathlon by nearly 200 points. Neve was the Guest of Honour at the Junior Awards Evening last November and she will have inspired many athletes with this performance.

Also winning medals in that thirty minutes were Halle Ferguson (Silver High Jump), Naomi Metzger (Silver Triple Jump), Ava Clough (Bronze in the U20 3k) and Gabrielle Garber (Bronze High Jump).

There were also medals earlier in the Champs for Beth Pendlebury (Bronze U20 Discus Throw) and Ava`s twin sister Sara Clough with a Bronze in the U20 1500m.
