Trafford Boys at English Schools X-Country



12 Trafford Boys competed for their County at the end of season English Schools X-Country race, nearly half of the Greater Manchester Boys coming from Trafford. This year's race took place in Sefton Park, Liverpool. This course is relatively flat but normally muddy, however in good conditions the course was dry and fast with just a few muddy patches. 

 

In the Junior boys race the ever consistent Thomas Daly was 106th and making his Greater Manchester debut Ethan O'Brien last out of the pen moved through from last out of the 351 finishers to finish 249th.

 

The Inter boys race (the GCSE years) saw Adrian White move through the field from 50th early on to get within 10 seconds of the the top 10 runners just missing out on making the England team eventually finishing 18th. Ben Gardner was Greater Manchester's 3rd counter finishing 70th with Arlo Mander Tuilus 192nd and Logan Grocott 314th.

 

In the Senior boys (A level years) 6km race Jay Hutchinson came through from outside the top 100 to finish 56th, just catching Pio Aron in 59th. Close behind in the fast race was Tio Austin 88th, Fin Dobson Emmas 132nd and running for Cheshire Archie Greenwood 159th and Ben Keeley 170th.
