The first day of the Northern Champs at Sportcity yesterday saw two Trafford athletes crowned Northern Champions and several others doing very well in finals: 

Michelle Robbins-Hulse won the Senior Women’s Triple Jump with 12.06.

Rivi Brown took gold in the Senior Men’s 110m Hurdles with 15.52.

Nisha Desai was second in the Senior Women’s 400m recording 57.01.

Reece Ingley ran 49.21 to place third in the Senior Men’s 400m.

Dave Horniman took bronze in the Senior Men’s 1500m in 3:57.90.

Sinead Bent was fourth in the Senior Women’s 1500m, smashing her PB with 4:27.33.

Sanchez Nguie’s 11.34 achieved fourth in the U20 Men’s 100m.

Xav O’Hare ran 4:04.19 in the U20 Men’s 1500m final for tenth.
