A number of athletes have been competing at the World Masters Athletics Championship in Malaga. Conditions have been very hot, which may suit the sprinters, although they have had some unhelpful breezes, but has made the distance races tough.

In the M35 200m Rick Beardsell placed 5th in 22.64.
In the M60 800m Steven Taylor got through to the semi-finals where he was 11th in 2:26.02.
In the W45 800m Sally Woolhouse finished 7th after running 2:25.68 in the first round.
In the M45 5000m Jeff Prest was 13th in 16:37.21.

At the World Masters Championship today there were good calm conditions for the 400m finals. Rick Beardsell just missed out on another gold in the M35 race finishing 2nd in 49.48 to 49.37 by fellow Brit Stewart Marshall.
