It was an exciting weekend for the Trafford junior track & field athletes competing at the English Schools Championships in Birmingham. There were some tip top results as they represented Greater Manchester:

Jerel Livingston won the Junior Boys Long Jump with Championship Best Performance of 6.76m and Bronze in the 4x100m Relay.

Trezeguet Taylor won Bronze in the Junior Girls 100m, clocking 12.35. She was also part of the first place Greater Manchester 4x100 team.

Jamall Walters was 7th in the Intermediate Boys 100m with 11.11.

Xav O'Hare qualified for the Senior Boy's 1500 Final where his 4:01.70 gained 10th place.

Sanchez Nguie was 8th in the Senior Boy's 200m Final, clocking 22.33.

Competing for Lancashire, Halle Ferguson's 1.55 in the High Jump put her 15th in the Junior Girls.

Samuel Bryan ran 4:37.99 in his Junior Boys 1500m heat. Also in the Junior Boys, Jonny Stock finished 6th in his heat in a new PB of 2:03.17.

For the Junior Girl's 1500m, Emily Russell's 5:08.17 put her 17th in her heat.

In the Intermediate Girl's 800m Ty Brockley-Langford clocked 2:19.77 for 7th in her heat.

Also in the Intermediate Girl’s, Sammy Mason got within seconds of her 1500m PB with 4:41.19, putting her 6th in her heat.
