Lower Youth Development League Match 3 Report

After the glorious weather we’ve had at every match so far this track and field season, it was inevitable that it’d break, and break it did during Saturdays YDL Lower Match 3, leading to the abandonment of the match due to a flooded track. Fortunately, there’d already been enough of the match completed, with only the relays missing, so the results stands as it was, with us in 3rdplace.

Well done to all who competed in what was a depleted team due to losing quite a few u15’s to the Mason Trophy.

As every a special thanks to those who officiated, Elaine, Peter, Scott and Rachel and Family, Steve, Simon, Nicole, Rob, Joe, Dave, Neil, James and Jess. Also, a big ‘Well done’ to Jackie on doing the YDL results for the first time.

The weather also affected the results in so much as there was a strong headwind all day in the home straight, so times suffered accordingly.

As mentioned earlier, the weather played its part and the wind in particular meant that it wasn’t a day for fast times from the sprinters. Despite this we still had 16 PB’s and 2 SB’s.

Graded Performances were also down to 24.
