2019 Senior Award Winners



Here is a full rundown of all the senior award winners

 

ROAD      

This was done on a points basis, using the 4 sets Northern/National road Relays, plus best 3 results from 4 distances, 5k, 10k, Half Mar, Mar.

CROSS COUNTRY   

Men    Simon O’Meara –

Ran all League matches, Northern, National , mostly top counter. Represented Cheshire in IC

                               Women  Vicki Cronin –

 finished in top 5 in 3 league matches, including a win at Heaton Park. 26th in Northern , 53rd National

                               U20 Men         Mac O’Malley –

 1st Greater Manchesters, ran in the Mountain Trial and gained an England Vest to compete in the Home counties International Mountain race in Ireland

                               U17 Men           Cynog Williams –

 Raced 16 times for TAC over last winter. 1st GM XC, 2nd overall Man League, represented NW in London Mini marathon

                               U17 Women     Rebecca Young –

Ran all league races, County, Northern and national

 U17   

 Female Track                Ellina Connor

Ran 100/200/Relay in all YDLs. Also ran in Northern League and Cheshire League. Improved 100PB for 5th consecutive year

 Male track                   Joe Bentall

Ran in all YDLs. Won 800/1500 at GM Champs. 2nd Northern 1500. Ranked 8th in England at 1500

  Female Field           Emily Pemberton

Competed in 3 YDLs at SP/DT/JT. PBs at SP and JT. 5th consecutive year competing for Trafford

  Male Field                Jerel Livingston

Competed in all YDLs at LJ and HJ, plus sprints. Also competed in the NL.1st English Schools LJ in a new record of 6.89. 2nd in the Schools International. 1st Northern LJ, 3rd England LJ

U20   

 Female Track              Catherine Hooper

Ran in 2 YDLs and debuted in UKL. Won 1500 at GM champs

    Male  Track                 Rush Lewis

Ran 25 races for Trafford in the season, including all YDLs and BALs. PBs at 400, 800, 1500, 400H and 3K Steeplechase

  Female Field            Louise Smith

2nd claim member from Tynedale Harriers. Competed for Trafford at 2 YDLs. PBs at HJ, LJ, SP

  Male Field                George Hurst

7th Season competing for Trafford. Did all 3 YDLs. PBs at HJ, TJ, JT. Also helped Coach U11

Northern League   

 Female Track                 Chayce Smith

All NL matches, plus 1 UKL. 100/200/400. She won all her 400s and helped to welcome the U17 making their debuts. 1st GM 200

 Male Track                Adam Bellis 

 All NLs at 100/200/400. 1st Northern Masters 400, 4 appearances at Inter Area Level in Masters Comp. 2nd British Masters indoors.1st British Masters 400 outdoors

  Female Field              Jemma Bate

 Competed regularly in all the throws. 1 appearance at UKL

   Male Field              Jacob Fletcher

 Competed in Javelin and Shot at NL, 1 appearance at BAL. Combines with Middle Distance on the track, road running and also ran the National XC

VETS     

Women       Nisha Desai

 Ran all UKL.  Inter Counties, 4th British. As a Vet 1st British Masters 400h, 1st European Masters 400h

 Men             Jeff Prest

 Prolific Racer , Track, Road and XC. Team Manager for Road, XC  and the BAL. 2nd British masters 1500, 1st British Masters 5000. 5th European 5000. 1st British Masters 5k road. 2nd Selection race 10k road, earning an England vest.  

 UKL

  Track              Vicki Cronin

 biggest points scorer in UK  league, SC and 3k every match. England champ 3k chase, Northern champ, silver in Welsh, 7th British champs, all at Steeplechase.

  Field              Sophie Littlemore

 high points scorer UK league. Shot/discus every match. Silver Northern Shot, 7th British Shot, 6th English Discus

 

 BAL    

Track             Joel Richardson –

 Mainstay at BAL for no of years. Big points scorer. At Yeovil he won A400, B100, B200 and both relay teams finishing 2nd

 Field            Sergii Saraiev –

 Hammer and Discus at all BALs. Also competed in N league. 4th Northern Hammer, 1st GM Discus

Junior Athlete of the Year          Sanchez Nguie

1st 100/200 at GM. Ran 2 YDLs, 3 BALs. Medalist 100/200 Northern. 1st England 200. Selected to represent GB at European U20 Champs in Sweden.

Athlete of the Year                     Naomi Ogbeta – 1st Northern, 1st British Indoor and outdoor. Firmly established as British No 1 in TJ. Competed in European Indoors, and The European Team Champs . 4th in European U23s.  TV Pundit at Doha
