Trafford at the Northern Senior & U20 Championships 2019



A round-up of performances by Trafford athletes at the 2019 Northern Senior & U20 Track & Field Championships held at Sportcity on June 1st-2nd.

 

Michelle Robbins-Hulse was crowned Northern Champion in the triple jump thanks to her 12.19 effort.

 

Vicki Cronin won the 2000 steeplechase with 7:14.

 

Nisha Desai won silver in the 400m hurdles as she finished in 61.82.  In the 400m Nisha was fourth in the final, clocking 56.79, while Chloe Hocking ran 61. 96 in her heat.

 

Sanchez Nguie won silver in the 100m on the Saturday with a PB 10.64, then won bronze in the 200m on Sunday in a PB 21.31.

 

Sergii Sariev won bronze in the discus with 46.02 and fourth in the hammer with 50.12.

 

Kiona McLennon threw 35.35 for sixth in the discus and 11.59 for bronze in the shot.

 

Mike Martin's 12.22 secured bronze in the shot.

 

Putting together a high quality series of long jumps Hayley Perrin won bronze with 5.64.

 

Rivi Brown ran 11.01 in his 100m heat before unfortunately suffering injury.

 

Catherine Hooper was eigth in the U20 1500, clocking 4:58.

 

Chichi Agwu continued her recent good form with 12.73 in the 100m heats and 1.45 in the high jump.

 

In the 5000m Simon O'Meara and Jeff Prest were eleventh and sixteenth, clocking 15:14 and 15:53 respectively.
