Congratulations to the Trafford Womens Senior Team at the 6 Stage relays today at Redcar, finishing in 5th place overall.

 

This is possibly Traffords highest ever​ position in this event.

 

In strong winds, behind you going out, but against you coming back, the 6 athletes put in a highly competitive performance, finishing under 2 minutes away from a medal.

 

Beth Reid (35.41) lead out on a long leg of 9.5k, keeping well in touch, coming home in 5^th place (6th fastest long leg of the day). Kate Meeson (20.07) ran the first of the short (5k) stages, staying in touch, followed by Lauren Robinson (19.21), also on a short leg. Vicki Cronin (36.38) then ran the 2^nd long leg, sending Zoe Storr (20.38) off, still in the top 6. Sarah Hudak (18.50) ran the glory leg, overtaking Liverpool to bring the Team in to its final position.

 

Earlier in the U15 boys 5km Northern Road Race Adrian White cam from the pack in the closing stages to take the title in 16.15.
