Volunteering Opportunities for 2018 - Ways to Get Involved with the Club and Support Your Community

Interested in a Volunteering Opportunity?

The club is run by volunteers and more are always welcome!  There are many reasons people chose to help out, including passion for the athletics, improving their CV (e.g. through designing kit, coaching or managing a team) and extending their hobbies to the club (e.g. through photography or race reporting).  The result is a more exciting club to be part of and one that can offer more to its community.  For example, a coaching assisstant with the U11s, U13s or U15s means more youngsters could be accommodated, which in turn means more young people in our community have an opportunity to develop their talent, make friends and gain valuable skills.  In addition, it means we are more likely to find another Olympian!

Volunteering is fun and dynamic - there is no expectation you would volunteer more than once (though you are welcome to), and you are very welcome to try many different roles.  Who knows, perhaps you will enjoy it so much you'll be part of the club's development for many years to come!

The table below lists the opportunities available with Trafford AC.  If you would like to know more about any of the roles or would like to volunteer, please speak with any club official (including coaches) or any of the volunteering coordinators: Simon O'Meara (psymon_omeara@hotmail.com), Anna Verges Bausili (anna.verges@manchester.ac.uk), Nicole Davenport or Graham Holbrook.
